Bohemian Van-Life Elopement Inspiration

Sally and David

.. a free spirited couple leaving the everyday life behind, quit their 9 to 5 jobs when they realized that they were unhappy and followed their dreams of an adventurous life.
They decided to travel the world for one year in their old VW-Westfalia Camping bus. This simple, adventurous but also rough life carried them away to some of the most beautiful places in the world.

Sally and David got engaged before they decided to give up their apartment, sold all their stuff and moved into the van. During their traveling they agreed to elope in a very beautiful place. They wanted to have a very small and intimate wedding just with their closest friends around.
The  place they’ve chosen was an especially gorgeous place near the water with a lot of sailing boats and seagulls.

„We wanted our ceremony to be very personal, authentic and emotional. We are two free spirits and it was
very important that the place, the ceremony and the decoration matches how we live and how we do things.
When you live in a Van, at the beginning it takes a bit of adjusting. Living in such a small space with only a few items we couldn’t think of carrying wedding decoration etc. within the van because we just have little space to store our personal stuff like clothes, books, food, pillows.. etc.
Over the internet we searched for wedding vendors in the area we wanted to elope. It’s easier to organise a wedding with professionals on your side. So we did that and couldn’t be happier. It turned out perfect.. exactly how we imagined it. Most important thing we wanted to have a relaxed and happy day to say yes to each other“
Sally explains.

The Elopement of Sally and David turned out perfect, relaxed and very personal with self written vows, a burn incense and meaningful hand fastening ritual to symbolize the joining together in marriage.
After the ceremony they danced with self made tambourines that jingled cheerfully and had a relaxed picknick on the  jetty near the boats under a beautiful baldaquin with a lot of pillows, dream catchers, yummy food, drinks, a little guitar music and a lot of fairy lights.
